The Beechwood Organization

The Beechwood Organization is Long Island’s largest homebuilder and developer of sophisticated lifestyle communities ranked at the fore of privately owned residential homebuilders nationwide.

Since 1985 and for over 30 years, Beechwood has built more than 7,000 homes in 60 communities across the New York metro area with new sites in development.  Brand names include Arverne by the Sea, Bishops Pond, Country Pointe, Harbor Pointe, Marina Pointe and Meadowbrook Pointe.

Transitioning from small builder to national leader, in 2016, Beechwood ranked as the 73rd largest builder in the United States by Professional Builder Magazine in its Housing Giants Top 400.  Long Island Business News cited it “the most prolific home builder on Long Island” and Residential Developer of the Year for three years running.

Founder and CEO Michael Dubb is renowned for his innovative and forward thinking in “not just selling a home, but a lifestyle” with signature quality construction and design for the way sophisticated buyers want to live and entertain today.

Beechwood holds dear its commitment to thoughtful land planning and design, repurposing underutilized land, building in harmony with nature and creating a benefit for the local community.

Among Beechwood’s award-winning communities are Meadowbrook Pointe Athletic Club & Spa, a 720-unit active adult community replete with 25,000 square foot clubhouse on the former site of the Roosevelt Raceway in Westbury; and Meadowbrook Pointe Links & Spa, an adult community of 280-semi-attached golf view homes with resort amenities in Medford.

The master planned community, Arverne by the Sea, in the Rockaways, Queens, developed as part of a joint venture, was acknowledged by the Urban Land Institute for its high standard in being built for “Sandy” storm resiliency. This mixed-use community of 2296 homes is the largest oceanfront, residential revitalization project in the Northeast.

At Marina Pointe East Rockaway, honored with a Smart Growth Award by Vision Long Island for its transit orientation, a “Sandy” ravaged waterfront property will be regenerated as a community of 84 luxury condominiums in walking distance to the Long Island Rail Road and shops. At Country Pointe Huntington, an underutilized area is being revived with 76 homes where families can get their start, and empty nesters can stay, on Long Island.  At Country Pointe North Bellmore, a former US Army base has been transformed into a neighborhood of 80 traditional homes for generations of families to live near one another.

On the East End, Beechwood is recognized for repurposing of a former industrial work site into 69 condominium homes at Bishops Pond, the first luxury resort lifestyle community of its kind in the Hamptons. It continues in Southampton Village and the luxury real estate market. It is now building an enclave of four estate homes at nearby Bishops Grant; and is the new owner of The Village Latch, an historic hotel it plans to transform into luxury condominium homes while preserving some if its classic features.

Beechwood’s thoughtful land planning extends to building in harmony with nature.  On the North Fork, it built 28 luxury homes at The Highlands Club in view of Aquebogue and Riverhead farms and golf courses.  At the gateway to Long Island’s Pine Barrens region, it is developing Country Pointe Estates Ridge, 94 homes on a parcel of 99-acres, of which 46.25 wooded acres are dedicated as an open space preserve in perpetuity.

Similarly, its Country Pointe Plainview development will provide recreational open space with 57 contiguous acres of the 143-acre property dedicated to the Town of Oyster Bay for community recreation.  Ground has broken on the proposed multi-use neighborhood of 750 homes and retail facilities which received zoning and site plan application in 2015.

In 2017, as progress continues on recently announced projects, new ones are on the map. At The Vanderbilt in Westbury, leasing will begin for Beechwood’s first venture into the luxury rental and hotel market with 178 apartments and 17 short-term hotel suites for 2018 occupancy. At Country Pointe Meadows in Yaphank, 400 condominium residences will begin construction as the home ownership dimension of a new Smart Growth mixed-use development, The Boulevard. At Country Pointe Smithtown West, 69 townhomes will offer new condominium living near the North Shore. In Queens, a 126-unit mixed-use residential building is taking shape as part of the Arverne by the Sea oceanfront community in the Rockaways.
